True whiskey connoisseurs would never miss the opportunity to enjoy the enchanting single malt release …
Just one such opportunity is provided by the Benromach Distillery in Speyside, which has almost unveiled its rare fifty-year single malt, which is probably not like any other whiskey you have tasted before. Sweet, sleek and divine, this new release is one of the rarest of its kind, and is also the oldest in the current range.
The fifty-year-old Benromach spent half a century in the barrel number 2004, in which it was laid in 1969. The whiskey matured, giving it an exotic taste with notes of ripe fruit, a slight hint of smoke and oak finishes. It is produced by a small team of distillers, who have overseen the process of its production constantly, using their senses of sight, hearing and touch, to create this authentic and unique taste.
Commenting on this issue, Keith Cruickshank, distillery manager, said: “Benromach 50 Years Old is the oldest expression in our current range, and carefully created by my predecessors, using a number of timeless methods that are still used today, with an unwavering focus on finding the best Scottish barley, local spring water and using your senses”.
This special edition whiskey, created in a limited edition of 125 bottles, will be available for purchase at select retailers worldwide, priced at $10,000 apiece.
