We used to see weird bags, such as those created to be worn as a bracelet or necklaces or those so small they can barely fit a single pair of AirPods… But this latest one from Off-White’s Virgil Abloh really doesn’t make sense. Dubbed Meteor, this leather bag is punctured with three giant holes, including one in the bottom corner. So, you can carry it like clutch bag, but you still can’t put anything inside! What’s the point???

According to the brand, the bag, which can’t actually carry any of your belongings, is intentionally “unfunctional”, and as such, it still retails for $1,665.
This is either a very good joke at the expense of small bags, or one more status symbol which tells: “I really don’t have nothing to carry, my servants will do it!”
However, Meteor handbag made its debut at Off-White’s Spring 2020 show, where Abloh reveiled an entire collection inspired by the phenomenon of a meteor shower.

Ahead of the show, he shot an arty campaign for the bag with Ana Gimeno Brugada, Carla Sozzani, Patricia Urquiola, and Karla Otto (whose eponymous public relations company represents Off-White).
