Every chocoholic’s dream comes with a new eight-day Mediterranean cruise dedicated entirely to chocolate. “Eurochocolate Cruise” departs from Civitavecchia, Italy on April 16 next year and takes passengers via Genoa, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malta to Catania.
The cruise is organized jointly by the Italian shipping company Costa Cruise and the EuroChocolate Festival, the world’s largest international chocolate event held annually in Perugia.
The lucky ones who are on this cruise are waiting for chocolate expert presentations to reveal all the secrets of this “food of the gods”, then classes, workshops and labs for making chocolate and pastries run by chocolate masters.
Of course, there will also be opportunities for tasting a variety of chocolate treats in combination with wines and Mediterranean dishes, as well as daily “chocolate trips” to the ports to which the ship docks, including a visit to the Chocolate Museum in Barcelona.
Also on board will be an original chocolate sculpture, made on site by a master whose chocolate sculptures have helped to celebrate the festival among chocolate lovers around the world.
