Over the past few years, Bulgari and their Octo watch collection have become synonymous with ultra-thin watchmaking…
The luxury brand is constantly pushing the boundaries of horology with its new creations, which are constantly setting world records, such as Bulgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph model, which has almost become the world’s thinnest chronograph. Still, last year, Bulgari introduced a unique model that took the Octo name, but wasn’t created to break records.
Instead, a watch called Octo Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar has become the most complicated model the Bulgari brand has ever created. For this year, the Italian brand has created a new version of the same model, this time available in a limited edition of eight pieces. The new variation, named Bulgari Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar Diamonds, is a bold combination of white gold and titanium, with diamonds.
The new edition watch features the same design as the one launched last year, including a 44mm case. The base and lugs are decorated with 88 diamonds, while the buckle is trimmed with an additional 35 stones. The transparent black sapphire dial reveals to us the inner workings of this model, which is magnificently complicated.
The titanium case has darker details, with trimmed elements. The watch is powered by the BVL 980 caliber, which offers a 48-hour power reserve. Paired with a black alligator belt and a white gold clasp that is decorated with diamonds. Only eight copies of this premium model will be created, with a price tag of $953,000.
