This private oasis is more like a Tuscan villa than a California monster of decadence …
When radio and television host Larry King left CNN after 25 years of recording chat show Larry King Live, he told his audience the following: “Instead of goodbye, how about so long!” Now King is saying it again, but this time, to his Los Angeles palace.
King has announced that he wants to part with his Beverly Hills villa, which has just hit the market with a price tag of $16.9 million. The listing comes in the midst of his divorce from singer and actress and his seventh wife, Shawn Southwick. The two originally purchased this villa together, in 2007, for $11.7 million.
Good news? The sumptuous palace that used to be theirs can now be yours, featuring seven bedrooms, nine baths and occupying an area of about half an acre, representing an incredible oasis, far from prying eyes. A high hedge gives you another layer of privacy for your guest house and pool.
When you step into the main villa, measuring about 1,000 square meters, you will be greeted with architectural style, which is obviously Mediterranean – the foyer has a magnificent double height ceiling and dual staircase, with tones of sand and ocher color that remind us of the old world terracotta. Italian stone, tile and plaster were used throughout the home to further accentuate the Tuscan vibes.
One door in this space leads you to the living room, while the other is oriented towards the dining room.
The kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and the entertaining room complete the lower part of the villa, while the upper has a spacious master bedroom, which has its own bathroom, fireplace and private terrace.
Other amenities include a game room, a fitness room and a stone pillar lodge where you can enjoy and admire it.
