The idea of flexible phones is nothing new – moreover, we have already written about numerous concepts and accomplished attempts on this topic…
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, with an original display that takes up as much as 180.6% of its body, has become the world’s first smartphone with a 108 MPX camera. Still, not everyone was quite happy with such an impractical design and the $2,830 price tag.
For this reason, Batyrkhan Bayaliev, a designer from Kyrgyzstan introduced his flexible concept, Mi Mix Alpha P. P, in the name of his concept stands for pocket, phone, panorama and papyrus. His work introduces us to the concept of a flexible screen smartphone that associates us with scrolling.
Called Papyrus, this phone will be able to expand to the original size of the Mi Mix Alpha display, with two mechanisms located on the side.
The shaft provided here allows the Papyrus model to take on more dimensions, ranging from the size of a small remote control, to a mediocre tablet.
If you don’t like the concept – don’t worry; many brands are now racing and competing to make these models part of our reality, so we will have plenty of options available very soon.
