McLaren announced a few months ago that they were preparing a new model from their Ultimate series, now known to be a roadster called McLaren Elva.
This exclusive model focuses primarily on providing “pure driving pleasure” and is characterized by a more fluid interpretation of McLaren’s design vocabulary.
McLaren also honors classic M1A, M1B and M1C sports models from the 1960s with this roadster.
McLaren Elva
As expected, McLaren again used the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, which here has 815hp and 800Nm of torque (with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission).
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes less than three seconds, and reaches 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
McLaren Elva also has a new Active Air Management System (AAMS), optional windshield, active rear spoiler, carbon-ceramic brakes, an 8.0-inch touchscreen and lightweight carbon fiber seats.
All in all, this new McLaren two-seater with sleek lines and butterfly doors will be made in a limited edition (399 copies only), priced at £1,425,000 (costing $1,690,000 in the US).
Deliveries to first customers will start at the end of next year.
