Montblanc Heritage collection of vintage watches, got a brand new model that is really special…
The last watch to join their lineup is Heritage Small Seconds Limited Edition 38, which has all the qualities that lead us to be convinced that at one point in its existence, it will become a true collector’s item. This truly special watch is a tribute to the history of Minerva, with its historic Minerva mechanism, hand-fanning the MB M62.00. Montblanc almost discovered a hidden box of original Minerva MB M62.00 caliber from 2003.
The watchmaker found only 38 mechanisms hidden in the archive of their production facility in Villeret. The historical mechanism was inspired by a 1948 Pythagore caliber and its truly recognizable geometric shape. It was reinterpreted in 2003, with more classic shapes and superb finishing details.
The mechanism has a large balance spring, which houses a low traditional frequency of 18,000 vph, with a power reserve of 50 hours, in a very compact design. What makes this model even more special is the fact that the iconic Minerva arrow can be seen engraving on the main part of the model. The mechanism is housed in a perfectly sized stainless steel case, with a diameter of 39 mm.
The watch has a two-tone salmon color dial paired with a gray Sfumato leather strap. For the first time, the limited edition model bears the name Minerva on the dial, in the form of a secret signature, which will only happen now. The model is available in only 38 limited editions.
