After their first creative collaboration, Virgil Abloh and Evian are reuniting to design a new sustainable collection called the “Activate Movement” which coincides with Evian’s newly launched contest called “Activate Movement Program.”
In the collection are a signature Evian bottle, plus two Soma bottles in a minimalist aesthetic. The design of the glass bottle features an infinite loop of droplets, chosen to represent how small actions can play an important role in creating change.
Announcing the collection, Virgil said, “I believe that every little thing you do can change the status quo. That’s what inspired the “Activate Movement” collection because a single drop can be the starting point of positive change. Every idea has to start somewhere, so we were thinking what if we could create that place? A place to empower the new generation.”
Evian’s “Activate Movement Program” will award one €50,000 ($54,592) grant for “sustainability-focused design and innovation projects.” The program is open to those between the ages of 18 and 35 and runs from February 10 to March 31. Each Activate Movement bottle will include a QR code that allows buyers to apply for the grant online.
