In today’s coronavirus pandemic people are in every way seeking solutions to deal with an invisible enemy. One Chinese architect has come up with a solution to help battle the outbreak – a wearable shield called “Be a Batman”. Chinese designer Sun Dayong created a design for a shield inspired by the wings of a bat.
Sun notes that bats may be a source of the coronavirus outbreak, yet they seem immune to its attacks. Their bodies get hot while flying, allowing them to fight off the virus through natural activity rather than a fever.

For the coronavirus shield, Sun has constructed a lightweight system, loosely similar to the lightweight wings that allow bats to fly. Users don a backpack with carbon fiber skeleton frame. They hold a PVC film, which wraps around them like a jet cockpit, or personal bubble.

The frame features wires that heat up to a temperature high enough to kill any pathogens, thus sterilising your environment.
At the moment, Sun Dayong is looking for a backer. He has offered his services as a designer free of cost to someone who funds the project.
