Porsche has announced that the last-produced 911 Speedster from the 991.2 Series will be offered at auction which starts on Wednesday and will last for seven days and will be held via an online platform organized by RM Sotheby’s.
Porsche will direct all sales proceeds to the International Coronavirus Pandemic Fund. The future owner will get an extraordinarily equipped Speedster that has traveled only thirty test miles, but also the opportunity to peek into Porsche’s GT development department and test the car on factory test tracks.
As part of the celebration of the 70th birthday of the company Porsche produced 911 Speedster’s open-air model in symbolic 1,948 units, and the two-seater is powered by a 4.0-liter 6-cylinder atmospheric boxer engine that boasts 510 hp and 470 Nm of peak torque.
A manual 6-speed transmission is responsible for transmitting power to the rear axle, and the figures mentioned are sufficient to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds and 310 km/h.
