Guerlain’s new Shalimar Eau de Parfum Serie Limitee is oriental floral scent for women.
The inspiration for Jacques Guerlain to create the one-of-a-kind Shalimar in 1925 was one of the greatest love stories in the world of Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. She adored the Gardens of Shalimar or “gardens of love” by which the famous fragrance is named.
Top notes are bergamot, citruses, mandarine orange, cedar and lemon; middle notes are iris, patchouli, jasmine, vetivera and rose, while the base notes are vanilla, leather, sandalwood, opoponax, musk, incense, tonka bean and civet.
As an ode to the beautiful Shalimar garden, this year’s edition is decorated with rich citrus fruits, flowers, and leaves, making the flacon and outer packaging really irresistible, especially for true fans of this iconic Shalimar creation.
Shalimar Eau de Parfum Serie Limitee is available as a 50ml Eau de Parfum in a limited number, at the price of €99 ($108) at the official Guerlain website.
