Diageo-owned blended Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker has unveiled four new limited edition whiskies to mark its 200th anniversary this year.
The new design illustrates a visual journey from 1820 to today, celebrating the first steps our founder took to start a journey that would take our whiskies from Scotland to the four corners of the globe, and celebrates some of the rare discoveries that shaped the world as we know it.
Inside every bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label are remarkably rare, hand-picked single malt and grain whiskies from the four corners of Scotland. Just 1 in 10,000 casks from our unparalleled reserves of maturing Scotch whisky, carefully crafted and curated for generations, have the remarkable depth of character needed by our small team of whisky makers to craft Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Among these exceptionally rare whiskies are casks from long-closed ‘ghost’ distilleries, whispers and echoes of generations past, bringing richness and depth to this whisky. This award-winning whisky is handcrafted in small batches using bespoke vattings of rare whiskies matured in Sherry casks. In the Johnnie Walker portfolio, only Johnnie Walker Blue Label is crafted this way.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label 200th Anniversary Limited Edition Design is expected to hit the shelves onward October 2020.
