Anniversaries are occasions for great celebration, and the Hublot brand has decided to mark the 1000th Grand Prix Scuderia Ferrari, with a special edition of its Big Bang model…
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, and with this collaboration, Hublot hopes to accentuate the Scuderia Ferrari as the only team to have participated in every Formula 1 World Championship since the competition was founded in 1950. And while the relationship between the Ferrari brand and Formula 1 goes much further than a century, the relationship with the Hublot brand goes back almost ten years, when the two greats first began creating watches inspired by the performance of professional race cars.

“Since 2011, the Hublot brand has worked closely with the Scuderia Ferrari, the best team in the history of motorsport. With that in mind, we decided to create a homage to the incredible celebration of 1000 races at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, in the same year when our brand celebrates its 40th birthday, ”said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of the Hublot brand.
Limited to only twenty pieces for each of the two iterations, this model offers us superior style and functionality. The first variant, inspired by the dramatic stallion that is a hallmark of the Ferrari brand, received a 45 mm diameter case created from white gold, with a Limited Edition print, which is engraved on the back of the case. Two changeable belts, which are very easy to change thanks to the brand’s one-click system, give you the option Pecari leather, which was originally used for the production of driving gloves, or Schedoni leather.
The second variation has the same diameter of 45 mm, but is more future-oriented, with a housing created from a unique carbon-ceramic material, developed jointly by the Hublot and Scuderia Ferrari teams. This material was chosen because of its durability, which is why it is also chosen for the production of brake discs. This model also comes with two straps, one of which is Schedoni leather, while the other is a woven model created from SuperFabric material.
Both models carry the Hublot Unico Manufacture mechanism, made with the same precision that we can see in the finest engines, and which integrates a flying chronograph and a power reserve of 72 hours. The price of these models is $52,600.
