In a groundbreaking fusion of automotive opulence and architectural grandeur, Dubai is set to welcome the world’s first Mercedes-Benz branded residential tower. Developed by Binghatti Properties in collaboration with Mercedes, the $1 billion ultra-luxurious project, named Mercedes-Benz Places, promises to redefine the essence of luxury living with a 65-storey hypertower overlooking the iconic Burj Khalifa.
The architectural masterpiece, reaching a soaring height of 1,118 feet, will house 150 uber-luxury residences with meticulously crafted interiors. Prospective buyers can choose from two-, three-, and four-bedroom units, along with exclusive five-bedroom penthouses, each designed to embody the sophistication and innovation synonymous with Mercedes-Benz.
Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, expressed the aspiration for iconic design, stating, “We want to create something that stands out and makes a strong statement.” The spaceship-like exterior, characterized by a distinctive elliptical shape, draws inspiration from the elegance of Mercedes’ most beautiful cars, embodying a futuristic and unique architectural vision.
One of the project’s standout features is the integration of photovoltaic technology across the tower’s facade, spanning an impressive 75,000 square feet. This innovation enables the generation of electricity to power EV chargers within the building, facilitating the charging of 40 electric vehicles daily. According to Muhammad Binghatti, CEO of Binghatti Properties, this sustainable initiative will result in 20,000km of carbon-free trips.
Mercedes-Benz Places goes beyond luxury residences, offering residents a range of mixed-use facilities, including restaurants, sports and wellness zones, lounges, non-automotive retail spaces, and exhibition areas. The tower will also provide smart mobility solutions such as ride-hailing, bike and scooter sharing, chauffeur services, and automated valet parking, aligning with the evolving needs of contemporary urban living.
Adding an extra layer of exclusivity, each residential unit is named after famous Mercedes creations, further emphasizing the brand’s legacy in automotive excellence. The interior design, as depicted in Binghatti’s released renderings, showcases ultra-modern living spaces with earthy tones juxtaposed against chrome surfaces, creating a sophisticated and visually stunning ambiance.
Anticipation for this revolutionary project is building, with a groundbreaking event scheduled later this year and completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. As the worlds of automotive and architecture converge in Dubai’s skyline, Mercedes-Benz Places is set to become a symbol of unrivaled luxury, seamlessly blending iconic design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable living.
