Beneteau, the renowned French boating giant, has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the Antares 12, a flagship that extends its line of enclosed weekenders. Celebrating its 140th anniversary, Beneteau showcased this stunning yacht at Boot Dusseldorf, making its Germany debut after premiering at Cannes Yachting Festival and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Unveiling the Antares 12
Boasting an impressive overall length of 13m, the Antares 12 surpasses its predecessor, the Antares 11, by over 6ft. This flagship yacht, only available with a flybridge, signifies a move into Swift Trawler territory with its size and design. The Antares 12 stands out not only for its dimensions but also for several key features that have captured the attention of maritime enthusiasts.
Powerful Performance
Equipped with twin 400hp Mercury Verado V10s, a first for this class of yacht, the Antares 12 offers a total power of 200hp more than the Antares 11. Surprisingly, it can even accommodate three outboards, providing the option to upgrade to triple 300hp Mercury Verado V8s, delivering an impressive 900hp. The skipper can seamlessly navigate from either the saloon or the flybridge, incorporating advanced technology such as the Seakeeper gyro and Groupe Beneteau’s Seanapps system for a connected boating experience.
Outdoor Elegance
The Antares 12 inherits the drop-down bulwark to starboard, creating a waterside balcony with an integrated ladder. The covered cockpit, almost a foot wider than the Antares 11, features an L-shaped sofa for comfortable seating. The adjustable table allows for alfresco dining or transforms into a spacious sunpad. Stairs lead to the expansive flybridge, labeled ‘best in class’ by Beneteau, featuring a J-shaped dinette, wet bar, and a helm seat with a Garmin screen.
Interior Sophistication
Entering the yacht through three glass doors from the cockpit reveals a spacious and well-lit saloon. The Antares 12 elevates interior style with a C-shaped sofa that can be configured for different seating arrangements. The galley, occupying the starboard side, is equipped with modern amenities, including a retractable television. The yacht offers accommodation for up to eight guests, with three cabins, including two with en-suite bathrooms.
Enhanced Accommodations
Descending to the lower deck, a hallway leads to three guest cabins, showcasing the Antares 12 as the first in its class with three cabins, two of which have en-suite bathrooms. The master suite in the bow boasts ample storage, while the VIP cabin to port features convertible twin beds. A modular third room to starboard can function as a double berth, a single berth, or even a day room for children.
