The London Concours, scheduled for June 4th to 6th at the Honourable Artillery Company, will pay homage to the Chevrolet Corvette, one of the most iconic automotive creations in the past 70 years. Partnering with the Classic Corvette Club UK and Classic & Sports Car, the event will showcase ten models from the Corvette’s illustrious history, spanning from the 1950s C1 to the contemporary mid-engined C8.
The display will offer a journey through the Corvette’s evolution, starting with the first-generation C1 introduced in 1953. Recognized as the first mass-produced American sports car, the C1 laid the foundation for the Corvette legacy, embodying the optimism of the 1950s. The exhibition will proceed to highlight subsequent generations, such as the ’60s Sting Ray (C2), the ’70s C3, the ’80s C4, and so on, up to the current-generation C8 introduced in 2020.
Andrew Evans, Managing Director of London Concours, expressed excitement about the Corvette retrospective, stating, “The London Concours is all about celebrating the most significant, evocative cars, and the Chevrolet Corvette certainly ranks up there among the greats. ‘Icon’ is a word that’s thrown around liberally these days, but when it comes to the Corvette, it certainly applies.”
Beyond the Corvette showcase, the London Concours promises an unforgettable occasion with a diverse lineup of 80 exceptional cars, live stage discussions, hospitality experiences, and luxury brands and boutiques. The event offers automotive enthusiasts a unique opportunity to witness the evolution of the iconic Chevrolet Corvette in the heart of London.
