World’s most iconic women’s fragrance Chanel No. 5 now comes in giant bottle, big enough that you can swim in it for couple of years. For the price of $4,200, you’ll get 30 ounce bottle of your favorite perfume, which means it’s nearly two pounds of perfume. Brand’s new product is dubbed as Grand Extrait edition, while for the price of $2,100, you’ll get a 7.5-ounce Grand Extrait bottle.
The Grand Extrait bottle is itself of “exceptional quality,” says Chanel spokeswoman Ruthie Vexler. It is placed in what Chanel describes as a “hand-assembled, artisan-crafted case.”
Although Chanel doesn’t released exact details about quantity of Grand Extrait bottles, Vexler says “very few pieces are produced” each year.
About popularity of Chanel No.5 among celebrities we’ll just mention Nicole Kidman and current spokesman Brad Pitt. Of course there’s inevitable Marilyn Monroe: When asked what she wore to bed, she famously replied, “Why, Chanel No. 5, of course.”
