Cristiano Ronaldo just splashed out a cool $18.5 million on a apartment in New York City’s Trump Tower. Before Real Madrid football player purchased it, the 2,500-square-foot pad belonged to Italian real estate mogul Alessandro Proto – a business partner of Donald Trump’s. Ronaldo’s new loft, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom apartment occupies arguably one of the best real estate corners in the world, boasting spectacular panoramic views of Central Park to the north, sweeping west to the Hudson River, and then south with breathtaking views of Manhattan’s most iconic buildings, including the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and Freedom Tower.
The interior of the pad was designed by Juan Pablo Molyneux, who is well-known known for his “maximalism” style. The kitchen is a bit cramped, but there is space for a small breakfast nook. The family room is also a bit small, but the large floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of light. The smaller third bedroom would make a perfect study or home office. The bathrooms are well appointed, with plenty of marble and mirrors.
Trump Tower itself, located on Fifth Ave at 56th Street, is widely regarded as one of Manhattan’s most prestigious and secure condominiums, with a multilingual professional staff of concierge, doormen and elevator attendants. Residents enjoy a large fitness center, in-house valet services and immediate access to the building’s restaurant, bar and shops.
