Hawk Yachts fronted by Captain Matthias Bosse is one of the newest companies to introduce themselves to the yacht design industry. With a focus on creating the ultimate range of true explorer yachts, their inaugural project is the 103 metres Sea Hawk which will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015, which will be held from the 23rd to 26th September.
Boasting a Polar Ice Class 6 classification, amongst her notable key features include an impressive range of 12,000 nm, over three months storage capacity, oversized propellers and machinery made to withstand ice interaction and floating debris, and diesel electric propulsion – as well as electric only propulsion for low speed and use in more sensitive areas.
Clearly Sea Hawk is a superyacht intended to reach the most remote and inaccessible areas of the world’s oceans.
Commenting on the vision of Sea Hawk, Hawk Yachts states that within the design, they have, “ask(ed) the question – why limit yourself?” They continue, explaining that this no limits attitude is ingrained into the design of the vessel; “This vision is at the core of this “ocean-up” build, incorporating over 35 features, allowing safe voyaging in extreme conditions, but at the same time never losing focus that this is a superyacht design.”
The yard tender has been completed, with a short list of potential yards to bring the design to fruition already drawn up. Currently looking for an owner, Sea Hawk will certeanly attract a lot of attention of all visitors in Monaco.
