Giorgio Armani chose Venice as the place to bring his fashion label’s most exclusive fragrance to date, Sì Murano Edition, to life. The special limited edition was created to celebrate the Italian fashion brand’s 40th anniversary. Taking a cue from Venice’s artisanal approach to craftsmanship, Armani decided to design a Murano glass flacon that was a work of art in its own right.
Created by atelier Salvati, one of the most prestigious makers of hand-blown glass, the pleasantly heavy glass bottle features a unique blush-colored “teardrop” suspended inside and a gleaming crystal stopper; a fine layer of 24-karat gold leaf decorates the bottom.
Sì Murano Edition holds the same scent as Si Eau de Parfum Intense – a spicy mix of black currant nectar, bergamot, and neroli absolute combined with freesia, mandarin, and a hint of vanilla.
Priced at €3,900 ($4,380) for 30ml, the fragrance is available this month in a limited edition of 75 bottles, in reference the launch of Armani’s label in 1975. But collectors, take note: Only three delicate flacons will be for sale stateside. Get your name on the waitlist now.
