Yves Behar, one of the most famous industrial designers of the past two decades is releasing a new home access system, dubbed August Home Access. Designed to “revolutionise the way people interact with their homes” by enabling easier access while also improving security, this system includes August Doorbell Cam, Smart Keypad, and Smart Lock – HomeKit enabled.

The company’s latest smart lock works with Apple’s HomeKit software and lets owners of an Apple device ask their Siri digital voice assistant to lock their front doors. A new doorbell includes a camera to monitor who’s at the door. A keypad lets people unlock their August locks by typing in a PIN.
“It’s a way to serve everyday users and change the way people experience the home,” told Behar. “It’s where the future of technology and the home come together.”
