This Grade II-listed country estate in the Cotswolds, near Gloucestershire will soon get new owners. David and Victoria Beckham reportedly have fallen at first glance on £27 million estate, which is also the most expensive country home currently for sale in Britain. Famous couple along with their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper are said to have visited the estate last week.
Surrounded by landscaped gardens designed by famous architect Edwin Lutyens, the estate is said to be perfect for someone who wants to entertain in private. It is located on the banks of the River Dikler, which offers trout fishing and there is also the potential for pheasant and partridge shooting.
The ten-bedroom mansion is 24 times the size of the typical new build in England and it also boasts six bathrooms and several dining and drawing rooms.
The estate boasts two entrance lodges, 11 cottages and planning permission for four further homes.
Neighbours include Prince Charles, whose country retreat Highgrove is nearby and his sister Princess Anne on the Gatcombe estate.
David and Victoria’s other possible choice is Amberley House, a property set in 22 acres of land and worth £5.4 million.
