James Bond’s Spirit 54’ Soufrière Yacht from Casino Royale is ready for new owner. Handmade specifically for the movie in 2005 by British boatbuilder Spirit Yachts, the classically styled craft carried 007 and Vesper Lynd (played by Daniel Craig and Eva Green) on a romantic odyssey in Venice and became the first sailing yacht to navigate up the Grand Canal in 300 years.
Following her movie début and ten subsequent years of cruising and competitive racing, Soufrière spent some time back at the Spirit yard in Suffolk, UK, where she received new paint and a renovated cap rail, preparing for competitive action once more – with a complete re-varnish of the vessel scheduled for later this year.
Sophistication and speed are married with simple, yet stylish accommodation and a spacious cockpit and aft deck. Dressed with a mahogany topside and a teak deck, the classic, British yacht that boasts of style and elegance sleeps up to six guests in two en suite double cabins and is powered by a single 54hp Yanmar diesel engine.
“Soufrière is not only a stunning, UK built, modern classic yacht, she is also a part of British film history,” said Spirit CEO and head designer Sean McMillan. “With her proven racing pedigree and extra space down below, Soufrière is ideal for an owner looking for an elegant performance cruising yacht with true British style.”
Soufrière is available for a lasting cruise at a price that could exceed $925,250.
