Richard Mille wanted to take the successful experiments with the RM 021 a stage further, making the watch more convenient to use for frequent travellers. So, the RM 022 Aerodyne Dual Time Zone Tourbillon was born. Luxury timepiece comes in NTPT Carbon that was meant to honor Asia continent. The Swiss watchmaking brand has always been inspired by the supersonic speed, which is clearly seen in this model. The new RM 022 is the first model of the brand, which combines dual time zones, with the external structure of titanium combined with orthorhombic details and the carbon nanofibers.
If all this sound strange, and recalls the accessory from the science fiction movie, it’s probably because it was meant to. This model has been designed to be unique, with a dial featuring a unique geometric pattern of honeycomb which was originally the subject of research by NASA.
RM 022 timepiece is powered by he in-house Caliber RM022, a manual winding tourbillon movement with hours, minutes and dual time zone.
It has a power reserve of seventy hours, which is visible at the position between 11 and 12 hours, so that you always have an insight into the current status of the watch.
Of course, as each Richard Mille’s edition, this product is a limited edition. Only eight pieces will be available for purchase in their boutiques in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.
