Surrey-based distillery Silent Pool has just unveiled the world’s largest and most expensive bottle of Gin. Priced at £5,000 ($7,000), this world’s only nine-litre bottle of gin will go on show at Hedonism Wines in Mayfair, London, on 10 March. The bottle itself has been hand painted and signed by artist Laura Barrett, and is inspired by ingredients of the gin, the area in which it is created, as well as local mythology. Inside you’ll find the Silent Pool Gin, launched last November after “years of research and trials” and created using 24 botanicals, including lavender, chamomile, kafir lime, Bosnian juniper, Bulgarian angelica, honey and grain of paradise.
It is available in a standard 70cl bottle at a retail price of £39.95.
Nine-litre Silent Pool took the title for the world’s moste expensive gin from Cambridge Distillery’s Watenshi Gin, which costs £2,000 per standard size bottle.
