Are you brave enough for a ride in glass slide suspended about 1,000 feet above ground? The U.S. Bank tower in Los Angeles will soon include this attraction slanting downward from the 70th floor to its 69th floor observation deck.
The Skyslide, expected to open in June, is part of a $50 million renovation of the building, which is the tallest building on the West Coast. Once completed, the glass slide will span about 45 feet some 1,000 feet above the streets of downtown Los Angeles, with a ride costing $8. Brave or insane customers will enjoy in slide, made entirely from glass measuring a thickness of just 1.25 inches (3.2 centimeters).
U.S. Bank Tower To Boast Glass Side 1,000 Feet Above Ground
Singapore-based OUE Ltd. bought the U.S. Bank tower in Los Angeles – the 72-story building in 2013. Renovations will include a bar on the 70th floor and an interactive video exhibit detailing the history of Los Angeles on the 54th floor. The complex is called OUE Skyspace L.A. and will boast views from the San Fernando Valley to Santa Catalina Island.
