The project which is breathtaking at first glance is the work of UK-based Baharash Architecture who has revealed its design plan for World’s Largest Oasis Eco Resort. This project should open the door to tourists in 2020, and is intended to be placed in the southern area of the Emirates, Liwa. The ribbon-like roof construction of a new ecological resorts contains about 157,000m² of solar panels, onsite wastewater treatment and recycling facilities and a zero-emission zone.
At the very early stages of the project, it was revealed that groundwater could be extracted using a deep well. This gave the design team an opportunity to create a story around a spring, which was of critical importance to Bedouins for trade and transportation routes. The spring will be used for crop irrigation, fish farming, and recreational activities, as well as providing a natural habitat for various wildlife.
Exclusive resort will have a capacity of 84 interconnected, incredible luxury apartments, overlooking the sand dunes that surround it. Fitness center, bar and restaurants are of course an integral part of the contents of the future luxury resort. And even if you do not like any of the listed contents, therapeutic SPA center which will use only organic products, will sure impress you. Also, it was announced that the restaurant’s menu will always serve fresh fruit and vegetables from nearby villages.
It’s really incredibly impressive, but we’re used to see such a fantastic architectural projects in Emirates. Seems impossible, but even with so much sun, lack of rain and rough weather conditions, these hard-working people manage to grow hibiscus in the middle of the sand and the grass is greener than in the Wimbledon! We believe that if you have an adventurous spirit, and one day you decide to visit this exclusive tourist complex that you will feel like a modern Lawrence of Arabia.
