At the Bonhams auction, which was held last weekend during an event Concours d’Elegance at Amelia Island, 1937 Bugatti 57SC Sports Tourer, may very well be the most valuable Bugatti ever sold at auction. Although it was estimated that it could reach a price of 11-13 Million US dollars, at the end of the car was sold to an American collector for just under $10 Million, more precisely for $9.735 Million.
1937 Bugatti 57SC Sports Tourer features a unique bodywork from British coachbuilder Vanden Plas, with chassis number 57541. The engine is 3,257cc DOHC Supercharged 8-Cylinder with 200 HP, paired with 4-Speed manual transmission. For this Bugatti is believed to be one of the greatest and most collectible cars of the pre-war era.
