Tel Aviv is the city known for its architectural arena, accessible beaches and vivacious light life. Now, the Israeli city will boast new icon – a conceptual highrise building conceived as the city for itself. Designed by Belgian architect David Tajchman, the “Gran Mediterraneo”, the multi-storey tower offers topological geometry that its appearance goes against the modern approach to the construction of stacked horizontal slabs wrapped in glass.

Built of white concret, growing facade relies on cell appearance, complemented by natural Mediterranean vegetation. The tower will also offers a diverse mix of programs that are conducive to life, vertical, residential units and a hotel, while the whole complex will incorporate the wide variety of restaurants, bars, space for growing fruits and vegetables, swimming pools and spa centers.
In addition, the “Gran Mediterraneo” includes coworking spaces for offices and local startups, alongside a host of educational and event spaces for larger functions.

Internal space is flexible, with individual apartments radiating out from the building’s central core. Each unit of this project will feature a fluid arrangement of levels, with vast floor-to-ceiling windows, which in addition to large amounts of natural light to all residents and visitors of this tower will provide an unprecedented view of the city and the landscape that surrounds it.
