Omega marks Earth Day with new Aqua Terra GoodPlanet Editions. Swiss luxury watch manufacturer has partnered with the GoodPlanet Foundation to release two versions at two sizes of the special watch. New Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra GoodPlanet will come in a 38.5mm version as well as a larger 43mm GMT model, both featuring Omega’s Master Co-Axial Chronometer calibers. Both watches have cases made from grade 5 titanium and a lacquered white dial with applied blue indexes inspired by the color of the ocean — diamond-polished blue applied hour indices, faceted blue hands, and applied blue Omega logo.
On the 38.5 mm version the date window is at 3 o’clock, while the 43 mm features the date window at 6 o’clock and a 24-hour GMT scale inside the minute track. Its central blued GMT hand makes it possible to keep track of the time in two time zones. Also, it is powered by the OMEGA Master Co-Axial calibre 8605, while smaller version is powered by the OMEGA Master Co-Axial calibre 8500.
Each timepiece is engraved with the GoodPlanet Foundation logo on the back in aqua blue and presented in a sustainable bamboo box.
Omega has pledged a portion of the proceeds from this watches to full funding “Time for the Planet”.
