Retired NFL All-Pro Matt Birk – the former center with the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens – has placed his posh Greenwich, CT home on the market for $3.85 million, after recently moved to the area for a corporate job at the NFL’s New York headquarters. “It’s priced at what he paid for it” in 2014, listing agent Leon Grimm says. “It’s competitively priced. Greenwich has gone up since the time he bought it.”
The Gold Coast residence is a six-bedroom, 6,912-square-foot home that was built in 1991 and remodeled in 2008. The Colonial-style home features a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase, a massive, finished basement, gym, etc. The previous owners redid the kitchen and bathrooms, installed a swimming pool, and added a balcony off the second-floor master bedroom.
