Not Bad at All – Michael Jackson’s Crystal Studded Bad Tour Glove Earns $300,000

The single glove, worn by the Michael Jackson during his Bad tour in the late 1980s, was sold in Julien’s Auctions’ Beverly Hills Icons & Idols auction, on Saturday. A single diamond and Swarovski studded white pop star’s glove earned a staggering $330,000, a good 10 times its estimated value of $20,000-30,000.

A signed Jackson jacket and a fedora he wore on stage fetched $96,000 and $72,000 respectively.

Other lots included a military-style jacket worn by John Lennon for a 1966 Life magazine photo shoot. It sold for $240,000, considerably more than a Johnny Cash jumpsuit fetched at a separate auction, also in Beverly Hills, on Sunday. The blue denim jumpsuit, worn by Cash for a rehearsal at San Quentin prison, went for $50,000.

More than $700,000 was raised from the sale of the 321 lots offered at Sunday’s event.
