Steve McQueen’s California desert getaway 2203 Southridge Drive (located in Southridge, a gated community in Palm Springs) has just hit the market. The $2.5 million property was designed by the renowned architect Hugh Kaptur in 1964.
With few major modifications over the past decades, the house remains a well-preserved example of late 1960s luxury design, minus McQueens’ trophies. There are still the original oversized terrazzo tiles, cypress paneling, black walnut cabinets and the bespoke Edward Fields sculptured carpets believed to date to McQueen’s tenure.
