Hennessy 8 is a limited-edition cognac and once in a lifetime creation that is released worldwide in a limited run of 250 bottles. This special edition blend marks the brand’s appointment of a new master blender.
It is the creation of Yann Fillioux, the house’s Master Blender for the past 50 years, who is passing his expertise to his nephew Renaud de Gironde later this year. The eight in the name refers to the eight generations of master blenders who have been running the cognac maison. De Gironde will be the 8th generation of the Fillioux family to hold the coveted position.
Each of 250 bottles is made of hand-blown Baccarat crystal and featuring 8 inset rings.
Other distinctive features include a crystal stopper engraved with a floral motif and a copper silk thread around the bottle’s collar making it an “H” medallion sealed by a ribbon.
Each set comes with the bottle, a carafe in an oak chest and is priced at $39,000.
