You better hurry up, because just one week left to bid on a very exciting and once in a lifetime opportunity to play a game of tennis and enjoy lunch with Andy Murray through CharityStars.com. Fresh from defending his Olympic title at Rio 2016, British star Andy Murray is auctioning a once in a lifetime opportunity for a game of tennis with the gold medal winner and much more. Not only will the highest bidder have the opportunity to play tennis with World No. 2 Andy Murray, they will also enjoy an All Star lunch with Andy Murray who will be joined by a host of tennis greats including Tim Henman, Gael Monfils and many more, who will all be playing in the tennis match.
To top it off, the highest bidder will also receive coaching from either Andy’s mother Judy or his brother Jamie Murray, the two-time Grand Slam winner, and watch the first ever ‘Andy Murray Live’ from courtside seats.
‘Andy Murray Live’ presented by SSE, is the brainchild of Andy Murray who wanted to build a legacy tennis event in the UK while raising money for charity. The event will take place on Wednesday 21 September at the SSE Hydro Glasgow, a venue that hosts a variety of music and sporting events.
The highest bid currently stands at £6,000 but with Andy Murray’s Wimbledon final shirt selling for £10,000 a few weeks ago, also through CharityStars.com, further bids are expected in the final week.
Andy Murray said: “Andy Murray Live is going to be a great night and we are hoping to raise lots of money for the two charities we are supporting with the event – Young People’s Futures and Unicef. I’m really glad to be able to offer this package to somebody to come along and enjoy the event and get to play on the same court that I’ll be playing on later that night!”
Proceeds from this auction hosted by CharityStars.com will support Young People’s Futures, which aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in North Glasgow, to assist in their development and to play a full and informed part in the on-going regeneration of their local neighbourhoods.
This auction expires on 15 September 2016, for more information and to bid please visit: www.charitystars.com/andymurray
