The first hull in the Akhir 42 series of semi-displacement superyachts has been sold to a Japanese owner, Cantieri di Pisa has announced. Superyacht Akhir 42 project reflects the eighties and the nineties becoming a point of reference when talking of Cantieri di Pisa that became synonymous of Italian quality in the world of yachting in this period. The key element of this beautiful vessel, featuring a shark nose bow and an airplane-like roll bar moved towards the bow, are the smoked glass windows, characterizing the external lines.
The project maintains the proportion between the hull and the superstructure, however, features an up-to-date layout.
The owner’s cabin aboard Akhir 42 superyacht project can be found in the bow of the main deck, with the main kitchen positioned in the center of the lower deck. Furthermore, the skylounge completely revises the upper deck area, giving an extra privacy to the owner’s environment with an all-length salon.
Power will come from a pair of 1,920hp MTU 12V 2000 M96L engines, which will deliver a top speed of 19 knots and a maximum cruising range of 2,200 nautical miles at 18 knots. The delivery of the Akhir 42 is due for Spring 2018.
