Hotels, motels and resorts are a focus of the Palm Springs makeover, and the latest addition to that growing list is the V Palm Springs Hotel. The 1960’s style mid-century hotel, used to be an economy Travelodge and a Curve hotel until celebrity criminal law attorney Mark Greagos and some partners purchased the property, has undergone a $15 million face-lift and thus becoming the most desirable city’s hotel.
This renovation has carefully preserved the elegant modernist lines of the former Travelodge while adding 21st-century amenities such as a second pool dedicated to adults, a fitness facility and Solstice Restaurant & Lounge, a 70-seat restaurant with a farm-to-table menu all within the backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains.
The first phase of 80 rooms opened April 1. Elixir, a pool bar and grill with a Polynesian theme, opened April 15. The restaurant, the rest of the rooms, the second pool and an additional large fire pit areas with lavish desert landscaping will open later this year.
If you’re wondering why to choose V Palm Springs Hotel, here is the answer: Nowhere else emulates the feel of the V Palm Springs. The naturally, soulful spirit emanates from the desert-inspired design. The fresh, chic vibe from the open-air layout simultaneously invites revelry and relaxation. The mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop for the scene, while you enjoy specialty libations and scintillating conversation with friends.
