When it comes to Bottega Veneta brand and its latest offering, we all know it must be something special. Taking into account that its creative director Tomas Maier is fond of architecture, it comes as no surprise that for a limited edition reimagining of the classic Olimpia bag, Maier used Manhattan for inspiration.
“Manhattan Olimpia” is launched to coincide with the opening of Bottega’s new space in the recently remodeled first floor of Bergdorf Goodman, so the bag features Nappa opaque leather and shiny snakeskin to create a 3D effect that’s made to resemble the street grid of Bergdorf Goodman’s storied Fifth Avenue location, and Central Park.
The limited-edition Bergdorf exclusive depicts the geographical location of the luxury department store on its burnished metal clasp, while the location of Central Park is represented by the smooth Nappa leather that begins on the front of the bag.
Coming in six different shades including China Red, Dusty Rose, and Espresso, each bag is priced at $3,500.
