Geilo is without doubt Norway`s most prestigious location for those seeking peace, privacy and a privileged life-style both during winter and summer. With one of the longest ski seasons in Europe (runs open mid November and close mid May) visitors have plenty of time to enjoy winter sport activities, whether being on ski, snowboard, snow mobiles, river rafting or simply relaxing at some of the best spa facilities in Scandinavia.
There are more than 25 different alpine slopes and more than 220 km of cross country runs, which are maintained daily, some of them are even floodlit. When you choose to spend your summertime in Geilo, you will also have plenty to do with golf courses, hiking, rafting, fishing or just enjoy and relax in the sun.
Right at his place, you’ll find Skarvegløtt – one of the more luxurious mountain lodges in Geilo, Norway. The 6-bedrooms and 5-bathroom house sits majestically in a privileged position and is without doubt one of the most impressive ski houses ever build in Norway.
The house occupies a 360 degree view across the mountains and the ski-areas below. It has a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi’s, a wine cellar, 6 bedrooms, and 600 m2 to lounge in.
The attention to detail is second to none. The stone work is hand cut and fitted, all wood work is hand carved, whether it is the columns or doors. The floors are oak wood imported from America, windows of Merbau, appliances are Gaggenau and Siemens, environmental correct under floor heating, the roof is “alive” made of earth and grass to ensure better insulation and no impact to nature.
The house has thermal heating, which is taken from the ground, 180 meters down. There are also recycling machines, which make sure that all the air (100%) in the house can be changed every 3 minutes. All is computer controlled via domotic systems throughout.
Skarvegløtt can be yours for €5 million. James Edition has the listing.
