Unlike some of the car, turning on the red button release extra power, Volvo introduced the “red key“, whose task is completely different. The red key is only available for vehicles such as the S90, V90 and XC90, and is intended for the mechanics, people who park the car as service, or young drivers.

Red key limits the driving speed of 120 km/h, limiting the volume of the audio system and automatically includes adaptive cruise control that maintains the greatest possible distance between the vehicle in front, as well as other security systems.
Red key can be ordered separately, and costs about 120 euros.
