Ahead of CES 2017, Acer unveiled its Predator 21 X gaming laptop – the world’s first curved screen notebook (21-inch, 2560 x 1080 resolution IPS display to be exact). For an eye-popping $8,999, you’ll get a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, five cooling fans and nine heat pipes, and dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs. Predator 21 X also includes Acer Dust Defender, which reportedly removes dust build-up and improves heat dissipation, and Acer’s CoolBoost app, that helps cool it down during particularly heavy use.
There’s Tobii eye-tracking built in, a mechanical keyboard with customizable backlight options, and the numeric keypad flips over to transform it into a touchpad.
All of this is powered by 64GB of DDR4-2400 memory, up to four 512GB solid state drives and a 7200 RPM hard drive of 1TB capacity.
If you’re willing to buy a gaming laptop for the same price as a Peugeot, you’ll have to wait a little to get your hands on one, since Acer Predator 21 X will hit stores in February.
