From the company’s first launch to its latest fleet of new and semi-custom designs, Abeking and Rasmussen offers a range of super yachts within its current portfolio. Now, German yacht-builder celebrated a record-breaking build with the launch of the 321-foot Aviva. Aviva has hit the water in the second week of January and represents the largest ever superyacht constructed by the shipyard, and thus ranks in the top 50 largest yachts in the world.
She was so large that the shipyard created a special launching system. A large pontoon was shipped from Norway and a hydraulic platform trailer with 60 wheels was used to move the 321-footer into the water.
Reymond Langton Design is responsible for the beautiful exterior and interior design of the yacht. She has a steel hull with a aluminium superstructure 4 decks made from Teak.
Abeking & Rasmussen describes the design as sleek, elegant and modern. Tennis enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that Aviva has a full-size tennis court on board.
Aviva has a reported 20-knot top speed and can reportedly run at an 11-knot cruise using only her electric motors, courtesy of a hybrid-drive propulsion system.
