In honor of Jean Bugatti’s Type 57 Aerolithe which debuted in Paris in 1935, Parmigiani Fleurier introduces the Bugatti Aerolithe for the wrist. The subtle cabinet decorations and the clock-like dial also appreciate the attention to detail of modern Bugatti. The tachometer on the dial, with red and blue indicators, that is scaled to track the speed of a car pay great respect to the Bugatti cars.
There’s another a small tachymeter near 3 o’clock that is scaled to measure the speed of a human running. It is decorated with “Côtes de Genève”, a classic finish which complements this round watch, buoyed by the energy of the legendary car which served as its inspiration.
The watch is powered by the in-house PF335 chronograph movement, which includes a flyback module. The finish of the movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, is superb. It has 311 components, 68 jewels, and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hertz).
The watch comes on calfskin strap which has an embossed pattern based on the Bugatti car seats. The deployant buckle is textured to match the dial.
