If the US company Singer, where so passionately engaged and committed to restorations (and modification) of older generation Porsche 911, is the first address for all fans of Porsche classics, then lovers of restored and enhanced Jaguar E-Type will search for the British company Eagle. The latest “work of art”by British manufacturing Eagle on the subject of the legendary Jaguar E-Type (which is considered a timeless beautiful car) is called the Spyder GT.
Classic Roadster by many details recalls of the previously presented Eagle Speedster, but a fundamental difference between the two hand-made cars is hand-folding soft top.
In addition to the soft top, the Spyder GT has a slightly higher windscreen, which will be the most pleasant for the higher drivers who in any case have to be prepared that for this E-Type, which is in many ways surpassed the original version, set aside £695,000 (app. $875,000) .
Under the long hood lies a 4.7-liter in-line 6-cylinder aluminum engine that has more than 330KS and 461 Nm of torque. Power transmission to the rear wheels is done via a manual 5-speed gearbox.
There’s also adjustable front anti-roll bar, fully adjustable Öhlins dampers and AP Racing brakes should ensure the 1,029kg Spyder is more than just a (very) pretty face, too.
Spyder GT (which initially was the original Jaguar E-Type “ripe” for restoration) from 0 to 100 km/h eaches in less than 5 seconds, and a maximum speed with a lot of adequate noble sound is 274 km/h.
