World’s most expensive taco just debuted at the New Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort in Mexico, and will cost you $25,000 for two. If you’re wondering what makes these tacos pricier than all other fancy tacos in the whole world, the list of luxe ingredients is pretty long. For the start, a soft corn tortilla is infused with real gold flakes. Then, it is filled with Kobe beef, lobster, black truffle brie cheese and Almas Beluga caviar. Bringing all those luxe ingredients together is a salsa made with dried Morita peppers, Ley .925 Añejo tequila and kopi luwak, the world’s rarest coffee.
That world’s rarest coffe is at the same time world’s expensive coffee, becaus it has been produced from the coffee beans which have been digested by a certain Indonesian cat-like animal called then palm civet or also civet cat. This is the reason why this coffee is also called cat poop coffee or civet cat coffee.
The dish is available exclusively at the resort’s Frida restaurant which recommends that diners pair the extravagant taco with outlandish Ley .925 Pasión Azteca Ultra Premium Añejo tequila made from platinum and white gold that puts it at a $150,000 per bottle price point.
According to Frida’s executive chef Juan Licerio Alcala, this taco is just the first of such exciting experiences that we plan to roll out in the coming months. Can’t wait to see what he imagined.
