Renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet unveiled a new, limited edition, Royal Oak Offshore to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Le Byblos. The new Royal Oak Offshore models launched to mark this occasion are offered in two versions: a men’s piece in rose gold and a women’s diamond set version in stainless steel. For this special edition however, Royal Oak Offshore (RRO) gets a luscious pink gold case, as well as pink gold hands and hour markers on its “mega tapisserie” dial. The emblematic 44 mm pink gold case with its large rectangular pushers is built around the chronograph movement 3126 calibre with automatic winding.
Homing in on Saint-Trop’s talismanic appeal is the brilliant white strap, the perfect complement to any true lotus eater’s summer wardrobe. The case back features the hotel’s anniversary dates, along with Le Byblos’ coat of arms, which depicts the abduction of Europa by Zeus. (The hotel was originally founded by a Lebanese businessman infatuated with the town’s most famous female icon, Brigitte Bardot.)
