Phatty Scooter
Both ride on chunky 18 x 9.5-inch tires, showing off wide fenders, a steel frame with a cozy rider seat and a hub motor at the rear. The electric motor is rated at 1,200 W for 95 Nm (70 lb.ft) of torque and a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h), that seems like enough, since this scooter wasn’t designed to break any records or tear it up off road. The zero-emissions, electric motor provides strong, but controlled acceleration. There’s hardly a surface or a hill that the Phat Scooter can’t handle. But best of all, the motor is completely silent. They also have hydraulic rather than mechanical disc brakes, a low profile battery that gives the scooter’s deck 6 inches of ground clearance, and an LED headlamp.
Phatty Scooter
The rider can choose between three modes of travel: Beach mode for a top speed of 8 mph, Golf mode for up to 13 mph and Bike mode for zooming down the bike lane at 20 mph. The Phatty scooters are reported capable of tackling 30 percent hill climbs, too.
Both models are priced at US$1,999. Optional accessories include a surfboard rack and a cup holder. Also, you can make your scooter unique with over 30 different color combinations to choose from. Custom printed decks are also available.
