Nineteenth of the only 30 GTR models produced, this Lamborghini Diablo has a rich racing career behind, and will be auctioned at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where it is expected to reach over half a million dollars.
It is said that exotic cars are just like wine – as time passes, they are more appreciated and gain more in their value. And if, by what chance, it is a limited edition series, in which only 30 cars are produced, then everything grows exponentially!
This is exactly this Lamborghini Diablo GTR from 2000, which is the 19th car in a row of only 30 GTR models, specially designed for the race track. Therefore, the interior is truly “spartan” and is foreseen exclusively for the driver, which, in essence, is expected from one “racer”.
The bodywork is made of carbon fiber, while for windows, instead of multilayer glass, was used Plexiglas. Behind the driver’s back is a 6.0-liter V12 “gem” of 590 horsepower, which for a long time was the most powerful Lamborghini engine in the offer.
This model, in particular, appeared in the Supertrophy series, and was owned by several racing teams. In 2012, was made complete restoration of the vehicle on the factory specifications, when it was returned to the traditional orange color.
RM Auctions will offer this model at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where is expected to reach between $580,000 and $780,000.
