One of the top stand-up paddleboard (SUP) manufacturers in the world, Starboard has revealed details about the boundary-pushing design of its All Star racing board 2018.
The All Star is the world’s most successful, user-friendly and versatile race design.
Relative to it’s predecessor due to refined rocker lines and bottom shape, it is again 2 to 3 boards length faster.
Downwind the performance is further improved. Due to increased nose volume making the board pop on to every piece of chop.
The amazing hull maintains control. To surf in breaking waves and it’s flatter tail makes it even faster for buoy turns. 28” width offers stability for choppy conditions and buoyancy for heavier riders. New Carbon Balsa Bio Resin Natural Winner fin aids beach starts, maneuverability in surf and easier buoy turning.
Just like the 2017 version, riders can choose between Hybrid Carbon or Carbon Sandwich. The two models are differentiated by their construction and recommended uses.
An impressive lineup of athletes, including sponsored SUP riders Izzi Gomez and Michael Booth, are on the brand’s athletic team and will be using the new boards during the next season, a testament to the quality and innovation that the brand stands behind.
